FIA offloads man travelling to Canada on fake visa

The Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) immigration officials at Karachi airport on Sunday offloaded a passenger from a plane who was travelling to Canada on a ‘fake’ visit visa, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The FIA officials said that initial interrogation from the suspect, who was about to leave for Canada onboard PK-783, had revealed that he had obtained the visa from two agents namely Fayyaz Hussain and Salik Sharif after transferring Rs2 million to them online.

They added that on the pointation of the passenger both the agents were also taken into custody from the airport’s parking.  

They informed that all three of them had been shifted to Anti-Human Trafficking Circle, Karachi for questioning.

On the other hand, Deputy Director Immigration Ali Murad has commended the FIA team’s performance.

Passenger held at Sialkot airport:

On the other hand, FIA’s immigration personnel at Sialkot airport arrested a man, Muhammad Tauseef of Kharian, who had returned from South Africa on fake travel documents.  

The suspect had travelled to Swaziland on a Pakistani passport before entering South Africa illegally.

Initial investigation revealed that the man then paid to an agent for getting a South African passport.  

He was later shifted to Anti-Human Trafficking Circle for further questioning.
