Senator Saleem Mandviwalla has been appointed as head of the Senate Standing Committee on Finance, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.
Reportedly, Senator Maulana Attaur Rehman suggested the name of Mandviwalla as chairman of Senate Standing Committee on Finance and Senator Farooq H Naek seconded his name.
The newly appointed chairman of the committee resolved to improve matters with mutual cooperation.
Senators Attaur Rehman, Zeshan Khanzada, Anwarul Haq Kakar Farooq Naek, Saadia Abbasi, Dilawar Khan, Yousaf Raza Gilani and Maulana Ghafoor Haidri attended the session of the committee today.
Besides them, Senator Shibli Faraz, Maulvi Faiz Muhammad, Senate secretary Muhammad Qasim Samad Khan, and other high-ranking officials of the upper house also attended the session.
