Four people died and another four were injured when a passenger jeep fell into the River Neelum near Karimabad, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
According to a surviving passenger, the jeep was carrying eighteen people, including four passengers who were travelling on the jeep’s roof.
The accident occurred when the safety wall of the road gave way, causing the vehicle to plunge into the river.
Local residents quickly mobilized, constructing makeshift boats to search for missing persons. A large number of locals are actively engaged in ongoing relief efforts to assist the victims.
