Sania Mirza, the former Indian tennis sensation, is on the verge of embarking on a spiritual expedition to the hallowed land of Makkah to partake in the sacred pilgrimage of Hajj.
The lady announced on her Instagram handle that she has been blessed with this incredible opportunity.
Sania penned:
"Dear friends and loved ones, I have been blessed with the incredible opportunity to embark on the sacred journey of Hajj. As I prepare for this transformative experience,
Calling this a chance to seek redemption and spiritual renewal, Sania asked for forgiveness.

This is not the first time Sania will be travelling to Saudi Arabia, as last year, right after retiring from tennis, she and her close ones went to Makkah to perform Umrah.
Earlier, the Indian athlete made news after her appearance on the popular OTT series The Great Indian Kapil Show.
The episode was filled with laughter and engaging conversations, particularly when host Kapil Sharma brought up an interesting tidbit about Sania's potential biopic.
Kapil recalled an old interview where Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan expressed his interest in playing Sania's love interest in a film about her life. This revelation took Sania by surprise. "But before that, I need to have a love interest," she quipped, sparking laughter among the audience.
The conversation then turned to Sania's preferences for her biopic co-stars. She excitedly revealed her partiality towards Akshay Kumar, saying, "If Shah Rukh ji does the film, I might play myself. And I’ll definitely do it if Akshay Kumar is in it."
