It is difficult to survive as a woman in our society and perhaps this is the reason a girl has approached a court in Peshawar to change her sex.

According to the petitioner, she has taken the decision in the interest of her future life.

She submitted the written application through her lawyer Muhibullah Kakakhel in the court. “I am living the life of a boy since my childhood,” the petitioner pleaded and added that the court had been moved to avoid legal complications.

She asked the court to direct the government departments to change her name in all documents and ensure her sex-change operation on government expenses in a state-run hospital.
