After being called out for her anti-transgender views in the past, designer Maria B has decided that the internet needs a second round of her misinformation and lack of knowledge.
Maria B has launched her latest luxury formal ready-to-wear collection and its photoshoot was conducted at the historic places of Bahawalpur including Derawar Fort and ancestral graveyard of Nawabs of Bahawalpur. In the reels, models can be seen dancing in the graveyard, flagrantly disrespecting the sanctity of the place.
This act, however, sparked a controversy as the members of the Abbasi family, who were the ruling Nawab family of Bahawalpur, are calling out designer Maria B and promising legal action for allegedly misguiding their staff in order to conduct a photoshoot in their ancestral graveyard with dancers dancing next to graves of their ancestors and walking on the graves as well.

On the other hand, several enraged netizens lashed out at Maria B for doing so and for not respecting the sanctity of the graveyard.
It all ended with backfiring, with many users criticizing he fashions designer for her scanty knowledge on sensitive matters.
A user called out Maria B for disrespecting her last resting place and wrote: “How can anyone justify this is beyond my comprehension. No one in their right frame of mind would have a photo shot in a graveyard and anyone trying to defend this certainly need to evaluate their own values. This is very much a graveyard belonging to the Abbasi family which has played a very important role in the making of Pakistan and to disrespect our ancestral resting place is downright offensive and disrespectful.”
Another user penned, “Shariah k hisab se kisi mazar p aurat ka jana banta hai? Aur naachwaky kaprey bechti hai maria baji? Aur kehti hai mjhy Allah de rha hai.”
