Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) on Monday announced to start two-way flight operations from Lahore to Skardu and Gilgit from March 31, 2025 to promote tourism, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
These flights will be operated on Monday and Wednesday on twice a week basis. The flights will be operated from Lahore to Gilgit.
These flights will be operated on Thursday and Sunday. PIA already started final preparations to start flight operations on these destinations.
Earlier, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) notified to kick off flight operation to United Kingdom (UK) soon.
PIA started work for the purpose and is set to use Terminal No. 4 of Heathrow Airport London for flights.
PIA management is quite optimistic that United Kingdom’s government will soon lift the ban imposed on PIA flight operation.
Department for Transport (DFT) of the United Kingdom is likely to complete an audit report of the Civil Aviation Authority in this regard.
After removal of ban PIA will start flight operation for United Kingdom with a direct flight between Islamabad to Manchester and London. PIA will use Boeing 777 for the flight.
