Prime Minister Imran Khan has told his Special Assistant on Accountability Shahzad Akbar to file an appeal against the removal of PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif’s name from the blacklist, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Charing a meeting attended by the attorney general of Pakistan, Shahzad Akbar and Ali Zafar, the prime minister gave Shahzad Akbar a freehand to handle the issue of Shehbaz Sharif's release from jail and removal of his name from the blacklist. The prime minister advised Shahzad Akbar to activate the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to work on the Hudabiya Paper Mills case and submit him a report in this regard after Eid.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Imran Khan on Monday paid a surprise visit to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences, Islamabad. The PM was briefed about the number of coronavirus patients being treated at the hospital and the facilities being provided to them.
