Former prime minister Imran Khan has reiterated his resolve to continue his campaign against the imported government,  24NewsHD TV channel reported Tuesday.

“The Shehbaz-led cabinet consists of “convicts’’ and is going to meet the absconder in London spending public money. Such an imported government is unacceptable,” he said in his address to a public gathering in Jhelum.

He slammed PM Shehbaz Sharif for accusing him of being against the army. The enemy wants the state split while the army and the PTI – being the party of all federating units – have been keeping the federation intact.

Just the PTI has the ability to hold big public gatherings, he said, and mentioned public gatherings in Peshawar, Karachi, and Lahore.

Nawaz Sharif and his daughter have been issuing anti-army remarks while Shehbaz has been acting as a great admirer of the army, said Imran Khan and called Shehbaz Sharif ‘Mir Jaffer’.

The Sharifs live abroad so they could become head of the foreign government, he said, adding that he is going to Sindh to get the people rid of ‘slavery’.  Former prime minister Imran Khan said he will give a call for a gathering in the federal capital on the 20th.

He said the US-backed conspiracy against him is a blessing in disguise as the nation has woken up to get united against slavery.

Earlier, former foreign minister, Shah Mehmood Qureshi said the flour crisis has been looming.

He questioned if inflation is overcome or not in the new Shehbaz Sharif-led government.

This imported government held an anti-inflation march, he said asking if they succeeds.

He also questioned if they defied IMF conditions to hike the prices of petroleum products and other essential commodities.

The PTI chairman has been on a campaign to ‘mobilize the public and strengthen his stance that his government was toppled through a US-backed ‘foreign conspiracy’. His opponents allege he has been on a smearing campaign against state institutions.

Since his ouster in April, he has held several public rallies in major cities of the country. He termed the new set-up an imported government and lashed out at Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, saying the decisive moment had come for the people to decide if they wanted slavery or liberty.

The National Assembly yesterday passed a resolution condemning Imran Khan's anti-military remarks. Addressing a session of the National Assembly, PM Shehbaz Sharif declared ‘dangerous’ Imran Khan’s public address in Abbottabad, saying that the words the former prime minister used in his speech were the worst and tantamount to treason.

The prime minister warned that if the former premier was not stopped from going for such speeches, Pakistan would soon become a state like Syria and Lebanon.
