Imran Khan under fire over Abbotabad public address

The ruling PML-N leaders have termed ex-PM Imran Khan a ‘traitor’ and said that any conspiracy against national institutions will be foiled, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported Monday.
Imran Khan's existence has become a threat to Pakistan's security, PML-N leaders Attaullah Tarar and Malik Ahmad Khan said while addressing a press conference at the Model Town Secretariat. Slander against national security agencies is treason, they stressed.
Mentioning Jahangir Tareen and Aleem Khan, Attaullah Tarar said Imran always ditched his well-wishers. Riots in the name of the rally would not be allowed, the PML-N leaders said. They added after the new CM of Punjab took oath no-confidence motion against the ex-chief minister has no justification.
Earlier in the day, the National Assembly unanimously passed a resolution condemning former prime minister Imran Khan's anti-military remarks. Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Murtaza Javed Abbasi presented the resolution that sailed through the lower house of the parliament.
He warned if the former premier is not stopped from going for such speeches, Pakistan would become a state like Syria and Lebanon. The former premier stooped to targeting state institutions after he failed to deliver, the PM said. Addressing the NA session, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif declared ‘dangerous’ Imran Khan’s public address in Abbottabad.
About an America-backed plot against Imran Khan, Shehbaz Sharif said Ambassador Asad Majeed Khan's letter has not mentioned any conspiracy. It stated they (Americans) used a threatening tone, he said adding that the NSC statement had too no mention of conspiracy. PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz Sharif Imran Khan a security risk for the country.
