According to the 24News HD TV channel, a cyberattack has taken place on a Pakistani government’s website today.
The sources in the Ministry of Information Technology (IT) has confirmed the restoration of the Pakistani website within a short time.
Attempts of blocking traffic through DDoS attack
According to details, attempts were made of trying to block the internet traffic through distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attack.
IT ministry officials said the governmental and private websites faced a cyberattack.
IT Ministry Islamabad officials confirmed no data was stolen in DDoS Attack.
IT Firewall Ministry officials tried to stop the cyber-attack.
Officials from the Ministry of Information Technology have sought details from all concerned.
Secretary IT has convened a meeting tomorrow, IT Ministry officials said.
Attempt to launch a cyberattack on NTC system foiled: Syed Aminul Haq
Federal Minister of Information Technology and Telecommunication Syed Aminul Haq said the attempt to launch a cyberattack on the IT ministry’s NTC system has been foiled.
Syed Aminul Haq, on NTC Servers, there are the websites of various departments.
Syed Aminul Haq said the cyberattack took place at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday.
Syed Aminul Haq said the attack failed due to extensive cyber security measures.
Syed Aminul Haq said that due to the cyberattack, the websites of some departments were automatically suspended.
The IT Minister said that all the websites were activated in the shortest time of three hours.
Syed Aminul Haq said that the cyberattack was not on the data centre but on the networking side.
