Teachers teaching English in primary schools will undergo a language proficiency test, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.
The purpose of the test is to determine the English language proficiency of primary school teachers.
The test will be conducted on March 30 under an agreement reached between the Quaid-e-Azam Academy and the British Council.
470 primary teachers from five districts will be tested. 140 teachers of Lahore will be tested.
These districts include Lahore, Multan, Sialkot, Faisalabad and Rawalpindi.
Tests will be conducted on June 12 and 19 in all districts.
Teachers taking the test will be given a travel allowance of Rs1000.
The British Council has asked education authorities to ensure teacher attendance on test day.
