PTI leadership booked for storming Corps Commander House, killing two persons

The PTI office-bearers and activists have been booked for killing two people and storming the Corps Commander House, Army Mess and other sensitive installations in the Lahore Cantonment.

The PTI members took to the streets to vent their spleen over the arrest of party chairman Imran Khan yesterday. The Sarwar Road Police registered the case on the complaint of a DSP, stating more than four hundred angry workers gatecrashed the Corps Commander House – also known as Jinnah House.

Armed Mian Aslam Iqbal and Mian Mahmoodur Rasheed led the mob, the FIR states, adding that Mian Mehmoodur Rashid opened fire and killed a young man, Abdul Qadeer, while Mian Aslam Iqbal shot dead another person, Abdullah.

A total of 53 police including DIG operation, SSP operations sustained wounds and the mobsters took away Rs150m goods. According to the FIR,  Imran Khan, Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Farrukh Habib Hammad Azhar, Musrat Jamished Cheema, Jamshed Iqbal Cheema were too involved in patronizing the arson while Zubair Niazi, Asad Zaman, Murad Syed and Ali Amin Gandapur were named in the case.

Police arrested 50 angry protesters and recovered batons and petrol bombs from them. They were booked under 20 provisions including murder, attempted murder and terrorism.
