Bella Hadid shares crying selfies, talks about her mental health struggles in viral Insta post

Model Bella Hadid opened up about her mental health struggles in an Instagram post on November 9. She shared some photos of herself in tears, and along with it, she also attached a video of her close friend Willow Smith.

Bella wrote that she got the strength to talk about her anxiety issues and depression after watching Willow’s video in which she speaks candidly about her struggles and insecurities.

"Willow Smith, I love you and your words. It made me feel a little less alone and that's why I'd like to post this," Bella Hadid wrote on Instagram.

The 25-year-old model shared her friend Willow Smith’s message on Instagram and wrote, “All humans are different, every single human has something so special and unique to offer. And people forget that everyone is basically feeling the same way: lost, confused, not really sure why they’re here. That anxiety, like, everyone is feeling that- - and trying to cover it up in some way (sic).”

Bella Hadid reminded millions of her followers on Instagram that “social media is not real” and anyone struggling with any insecurities must remember that. “Sometimes all you've gotta hear is that you're not alone. So, from me to you, you're not alone. I love you, I see you, and I hear you. Self help and mental illness/chemical imbalance is not linear and it is almost like a flowing rollercoaster of obstacles it has its ups and downs, and side to sides (sic),” she added.

She accompanied the long note with a series of tearful pictures of herself. "This is pretty much my every day, every night. For a few years now,” she further wrote.

Bella Hadid urged everyone struggling with mental health to remember that mental illness and chemical imbalance are not linear and “it is almost like a flowing rollercoaster of obstacles”.

Like every cloud has a silver lining, Bella Hadid assured that it does get better. “There is always light at the end of the tunnel, and the rollercoaster always comes to a complete stop at some point. (There is always room for it to start up again, but for me it’s always been nice to know that even if it’s a few days, weeks, or months, it does get better, to some extent, even for a moment),” the note further reads.

“Anyway. Not sure why but it feels harder and harder to not share my truth on here. Thank you for seeing me and thank you for listening. I love you (sic),” she ended the note saying this.

Bella Hadid’s sister Gigi Hadid applauded her for opening up about her mental health struggles. “I love you (sic),” Gigi wrote.

Bella Hadid had taken a break from social media in January to focus on her mental health. “Thank you to my angels who have supported and have continued to love me, for me. You saved me. Take time to get help for your mental health. It’s worth it to get to your full potential (sic),” she wrote after her return to Instagram.
