US dollar once again knocks out Pakistani rupee

The US dollar has once again crossed the Rs172.93 mark against the Pakistani rupee as trading began in the inter-bank on Wednesday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The dollar has gained Rs1.17 against the rupee. During last three days, the value of the greenback appreciated by Rs2.79.
The American dollar which closed at Rs171.51 in the inter-bank on previous day and reached the Rs172 mark after gaining 37 paisas in value in the morning today, now has climbed to Rs172.93 in the afternoon.
Economic experts were of the view that the rupee seemed under renewed pressure over import payments.
They further opined that the market has also set its sight on the outcome of the negotiations between Pakistan and the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
