Pakistani education activist and Nobel laureate Malala Yousafzai announced her wedding in a post on social media on November 9.
Malala shared pictures from her nikah ceremony which was a private affair attended by the couple’s close friends and family members. She also introduced fans to her husband Asser Malik with the first pictures from the ceremony which was held in Birmingham, England.

WHO IS ASSER MALIK?
Asser Malik is an entrepreneur and is the General Manager High Performance for the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), according to his LinkedIn profile. Asser has a demonstrated history of working in the sports industry, especially cricket. He has designed the player development programme for Multan Sultans, a Pakistani professional Twenty20 franchise cricket team. According to his LinkedIn profile, Asser joined PCB in 2020.
ASSER MALIK’S EDUCATION
Asser Malik did his schooling from Atchinson College in Lahore, Pakistan. He graduated from Lahore University of Management Sciences.
Both Malala Yousafzai and Asser Malik shared pictures from their nikah on social media. "Today marks a precious day in my life. Asser and I tied the knot to be partners for life. We celebrated a small nikkah ceremony at home in Birmingham with our families. Please send us your prayers. We are excited to walk together for the journey ahead (sic),” Malala Yousafzai said in a tweet.
