Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif phoned Balochistan Governor Jafar Mandukhel and condemned the suicide hit at the Quetta railway station.
According to 24NewsHD TV channel, the prime minister assured the Balochistan chief minister of all-out support to purge terrorism from the province.
The government will deal with the terrorists with iron hands, Shehbaz said, adding that the nation stands by the families of victims.
He stressed the need for stepped-up efforts to protect citizens and said that the government and security agencies are determined to fight terrorism.
At least 26 people were killed and over 60 others injured when a suicide bomber belonging to the banned Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) detonated himself among passengers getting ready to board a train at the Quetta railway station on Saturday morning.
According to Edhi sources, people including women and children were gathered at a platform as Jaffar Express was about to depart the station when the BLA suicide bomber struck.
