Rickshaw driver tries to take down traffic warden with a ‘burning’ hug

A rickshaw driver on Saturday tried to commit suicide by setting himself on fire in a no-parking zone of Data Darbar shrine in Lahore and also tried to take down the on-duty traffic warden with him by hugging him tights, reported 24NewsHD TV channel

According to details, traffic assistant Waqar directed rickshaw drivers to avoid parking their vehicles in the no-parking area of the shrine and remove them on priority basis.

All the drivers drove their rickshaws away from the no-parking area except the one, who later willfully set himself on fire and then hugged the traffic constable tight.

Both the driver and the traffic assistant received serious burn injuries during the incident.

Rescue 1122 personnel shifted both the injured persons to a hospital for treatment.

Chief Traffic Officer Lahore Ammara Athar after taking notice of the incident sought a complete report.
