Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti chaired a high-level meeting in Quetta on Sunday to review security situation and devise a plan action against the terrorists, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Chief Secretary Balochistan Shakeel Qadir Khan, Additional Chief Secretary Interior Shahabuddin, IG Police Muazzam Jah Ansari and others attended the meeting. During the meeting, initial inquiry report about Quetta Railways Station suicide attack was also presented. The participants of the meeting offered prayer for the victims and for the recovery of the injured. The participants of the meeting also expressed solidarity with the families of the martyrs. During the high-level meeting, it was decided that government and security forces will take relentless action against the non-state elements and terrorists will be crushed.

It was decided that in order to cope with terrorists, scope of intelligence-based operations will be expanded and the designs of terrorists will be thwarted. Interior Minister assured the Provincial Government that in order to eradicate the menace of terrorism, federal government will provide all out support and resources to Chief Minister Balochistan Sarfraz Bugti. Naqvi said Balochistan Police will be given full support for training and capacity building of CTD and other forces.

Mohsin Naqvi assured Baloch people that entire nation stands with the families of the martyrs and pay homage to the sacrifices of the martyrs. On the occasion, CM Bugti said with the support of the federal government, steps will be taken to increase the professional capacity of police and levies force. Chief Minister said Balochistan govt will develop police and levies on modern lines to fight terrorism.

Chief Minister Balochistan said provincial government was determined to end menace of terrorism from Balochistan. He said, “We are grateful to Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi for visiting Balochistan from time to time and playing an active role in restoring peace”.

 

Earlier, Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Naqvi and Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfaraz Bugti visited the Civil Hospital in Quetta and inquired after those injured in Saturday’s suicide blast at Quetta Railway station in which 26 people had also lost their lives.

Both met with each and every patient one by one and prayed for their speedy recovery. Naqvi inquired from the injured about details of the incident, and said it was heartening to see them in high spirits. Balochistan CM, on the occasion, ordered that one of the patients be immediately shifted to a Karachi hospital. The interior minister told them that the nation was with them and prayed for their fast recovery. “The government will leave no stone unturned to provide you complete treatment,” he assured. Both besides receiving updates from doctors also gave them necessary instructions.
