The cement companies have jumped into to cash in on the ongoing rampant inflationary trends in the country as they have hiked the price of a cement bag by 30 rupees, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.
The new price of a cement bag is now Rs1,180 after the raise of Rs30.
Shopkeepers have blamed petrol rate and other expenditure as the main reason behind increasing the cement price. They said the construction sector is on the declin.
It may be mentioned here that only four years ago the same cement bag was available for just Rs600 which has now shot up to nearly Rs1,200.
