The Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA) has directed the private airlines in the country to increase their flight operation in Balochistan, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.
As the winter season is about to set in, the Balochistan province will come in the grip of severe cold and fog. The inclement weather conditions of this southwestern province cut it off from the rest of the country through land routes.
Keeping in view the hardships caused by this natural phenomenon, the PCAA has decided to increase flight operations in Balochistan, thus directing the private airlines in this regard.
The PCAA officials said that when there is no land route available in Balochistan, the flight operation would help passengers move freely.
The officials were of the view that the Balochistan flights were affected due to curtailment of the PIA domestic flight operations. This fact has led the PCAA to direct the Serene, Fly Jinnah, and Air Sial airlines to intensify their operation in the southwestern province.
