PML-N Vice-President Maryam Nawaz on Thursday said the façade of accountability in the country was only meant for teaching a lesson to the likes of her, Rabiya Shehbaz, Faryal Talpur and Sarina Isa.
She questioned where anyone has the courage to summon Aleema Khan and Mrs Asim Saleem Bajwa – special assistant to the PM on information who is also the CPEC Authority chairman – for court hearings.
Maryam made these remarks as she posted a tweet containing a short video clip where Leader of Opposition in the National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif can be seen holding his daughter’s hand while coming out of an accountability court earlier in the day.

They attended the hearing of the money laundering reference filed against the Sharif family members.
Separately, PML-N Punjab President Rana Sanaullah, talking to media persons, again repeated the party’s stance that the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) meant to target the opposition members and change their loyalties.
On the other hand, Azma Bokhari – the party’s provincial information secretary – in a tweet said one must know that the weak enemy is scared and desperate when they start targeting the female family members.
Commenting on the issue of Javeria appearing before the accountability court, she asked the government members whether they were ready to face the same for their daughters, daughters-in-law and sisters because one should remember that time moves on and repeats itself.
