Prime Minister Imran Khan has taken notice of the health of legendary comedian Umar Sharif, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.

As per the directive of the Prime Minister, the PM Office has contacted the family of the veteran comedy king and offered to bear his medical expenses.

Earlier, Umar Sharif became the talk of the town when a picture of him in a wheelchair, apparently at a hospital, went viral on social media. In the picture, the renowned comedian was seen in a frail state of health, which triggered worrying messages from fans and followers who started praying for his speedy recovery. 

In a tweet that made rounds on Twitter, it was claimed that Umar is suffering from a life-threatening ailment.
