Police in Faisalabad on Saturday claimed to have recovered over Rs40 million from the driver besides arresting his two accomplices in the private bank’s cash van looting case, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Police officials told media that raids were being conducted to arrest the remaining accomplices of driver Abdul Aziz.
They further said that the suspects had been planning to rob the van for a long time.
Three guards entered the branch of Muslim Commercial Bank in the city by violating the standard operating procedures (SOPs), they explained.
The officials said that they had decided to write a letter to the district administration in order to highlight the negligence on the part of the security company.
They also announced awards for the police team for solving the case within hours.
