‘Couple honors each other’s beliefs’: Sonakshi Sinha on first 'Gunpati' celebrations with husband

Bollywood diva Sonakshi Sinha took to her Instagram handle and shared glimpses of her first Gunpati celebrations with her husband Zaheer Iqbal.


In the caption of the video, Sonakshi wrote, “Love grows in respect when a couple honors each other's beliefs in true harmony. Our first Ganpati after shaadi.”


Through the caption, Sinha shared a heartfelt message about love and respect in a marriage.


She mentioned how their relationship grows stronger when they honor and appreciate each other's beliefs in true harmony.


This celebration marked a meaningful moment for the couple as they embraced their first Ganpati festival as husband and wife.


The video shows the couple performing the 'Gunpati' tradition together while Sonakshi covered her head with a dupatta.

In the shared photos, both were dressed in traditional attires while Sonakshi was donning a navy blue floor-length frock and Zaheer looked handsome in a blue-and-white kurta.


Both of them radiated pure couple goals with matching outfits.



Sharing her pictures in different poses Sinha captioned, "It's Bappa time!!! Kickstarting the festivities with only love and light in the heart."



 

Social media users were quick to react to their photos and videos, praising them for respecting each other’s religious beliefs.


One user commented, “This is what I like accepting and embracing each other’s religion and the rituals and ignoring the world.”


Another reacted by simply writing, “God bless,” while several left heart and flower emojis in the comment section.



In an earlier interview, Zaheer Iqbal said that religion was never an issue between the two as he shared his stance on their interfaith marriage.


During the interview, both shared their perspective of each other’s religion after trolling and criticism on social media towards their interfaith marriage


When asked if the two wish to imbibe the best of each other’s culture and religion, the ‘Heermandi’ star replied, “Absolutely! I think it will be beautiful.”



The two Bollywood stars tied the knot in an intimate civil marriage on June 23, after being in a relationship for over seven years.
