Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar, Sher Afzal Marwat and Shoaib Shaheen have been arrested in the federal capital.
According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, the Islamabad police team made the arrests over yesterday's rally rules violations.
Barrister Gohar and Sher Afzal Marwat were arrested outside the parliament while Shaheen was taken into custody from his house.
Their supporters resisted the arrest but the lawmen took him into custody and shifted to the police station concerned.
According to the sources, the PTI leadership was arrested over violations of yesterday's rally rules.
These violations include an attack on Islamabad police, failure to abide by timings and anti-state speeches, the sources said.
The sources said more arrests are expected. In the wake of the arrests, other PTI lawmakers took refuge in the parliament house.
