Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar has claimed that some masked persons entered the parliament and took 10 party parliamentarians from the house.

“Yesterday, 10 of our members of the assembly were arrested by persons wearing masks,” he told the media on Tuesday.

He added: “I came out to surrender. We never resisted. I came to know that there was a heavy police presence outside the assembly gate.

“Masked people kidnapped ten members of parliament from the house. We condemn it. It is an attack on the Parliament. The speaker should act on it.”

He said the PTI has been subjected to political persecution.  He added: “Our mothers and sisters were humiliated. Our businesses were destroyed

He went on: “For the sake of democracy in the country, our people forgave. We played our part in the parliament”

“In which country, a case is registered for ending the meeting at 8.30 instead of 7.00?

“The PTI will challenge the physical remand of the parliamentarian in the high court. We request the judiciary to act on it.

“People expect from the judiciary that the judiciary will play its role.

He stressed that the government gave itself an NRO.  If PTI comes to power, it will undo the NRO law.

He added: “Today will be recognized as the dark day of the country's democracy.

“The government gave itself an NRO. If PTI comes to power, we will reverse undo the NRO law.

He apologized if anyone was offended by the statement about the journalists.

He said the party public meeting will be on schedule. “The series of meetings will continue,” he maintained.
