The second lunar eclipse of the year is set to occur on September 18, but it will not be visible in Pakistan, reported 24NewsHD TV channel Monday.
However America, most parts of Europe, Australia, Africa, and northern and eastern Asia will have the chance to witness this celestial amaze. The eclipse will be partial, meaning only a portion of the moon will be covered by the Earth’s shadow.
According to Pakistan Standard Time, the outer shadow of the Earth will begin to touch the moon at 5:41 AM.
The moon will be partially eclipsed around 7:12 AM and will peak at 7:44 AM, when the Earth's shadow will begin to cover a portion of the moon.
The penumbral phase will conclude in its entirety by 9:47 AM with the partial phase ending at 8:15 AM. Even though it won't be visible in Pakistan, sky enthusiasts around the world will find the event noteworthy.
