Senator Faisal Vawda Tuesday demanded the suspension of PTI Senator Falak Naz for allegedly using abusive language against him during the senate proceedings

, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

During his speech, Vawda stated that no one had the right to hurl insults in the house, calling for strict action against the PTI senator.

In response, the Chairman of the Senate decided to expunge the offensive words from the official record.

However, Vawda argued that simply deleting the words was insufficient, stating, “An insult has been uttered, and removing it from the record is not enough. If Falak Naz is not suspended, I will respond with twice the insults.”

The Chairman then warned that if Senator Falak Naz did not apologize for her remarks, she would face suspension.

Vawda further emphasized that the issue was not just personal but a challenge to the state of Pakistan.

He questioned whether they were expected to stay silent in the face of insults, exclaiming, “Are we supposed to tolerate insults to our mothers and sisters?

“You came into power with the support of Faiz Hameed, and now you expect us to respect you? We have funded this party.”

Vawda's fiery response led to a confrontation, with members from the opposition gathered around the Chairman’s dais.  PTI Senators reacted with outrage, protesting against Vawda’s remarks. Government benches senators, however, stepped in to defend Vawda.

After a tense debate, the Chairman eventually suspended Senator Falak Naz for two days due to the use of inappropriate language.

Earlier,  Vawda emphasized that world leaders create an environment of accountability within their institutions, commending Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir for setting an example by holding senior military figures accountable. He further stated, “Under this benchmark, every individual should be held accountable.”

He pointed out the contradiction in PTI’s stance on NAB amendments, stating that while the party initially opposed these changes, it later took advantage of them.

Vawda questioned the morality of such politics, asking, “What kind of politics is this?”

In a particularly charged moment, Vawda referenced Maryam Nawaz and her recent political struggles, warning that if this continues, tomorrow it could be their own families facing insults. The Senate session was adjourned until Thursday.
