The distribution of cash handouts under Ehsas Kafalat Programme continued in the country on Saturday during which social distancing measures were missing, 24NewsHD TV channel reported.
During this exercise, the women also faced issues related to illegal deductions, biometric machines and cash shortage in some cases.
Stampede and mismanagement at these centres affected many women, where long queues were witnessed, according to the reports received from Umarkot, Rajanpur, Jhang, Muzaffargarh and other areas.
The agents deducted Rs1,000 from the amount in Thal and some other areas, while 11 of them were arrested in Shikarpur and 10 in Khairpur. Meanwhile, police detained six in Mardan and two in Takhtbai.
Receiving Rs12,000 became a tough test in Narowal where women faced great hardships, while biometric machines proved to be a headache in Arifwala.
Huge crowds were witnessed in Renala Khurd, Bahawalpur and Okara, while women had to wait for hours because of cash shortage in Layyah.
In Rojhan tehsil of Rajanpur, women exchanged slaps as mismanagement resulted in a brawl.
Several women fainted in Umarkot because of heat and rush, while Sanghar and Shahdadkot also witnessed a lack of proper arrangements. Same was the case in Charsadda where the administration, like other areas, forgot to ensure social distancing.
