FM Qureshi off to Germany

Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi on Sunday left for Berlin on a two-day official visit of Germany, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Speaking before his departure in Islamabad, Qureshi said Pakistan enjoys cordial relations with Germany.
Terming Germany Pakistan's most important trading partner in European Union, Qureshi said matters related to economic relations, bilateral trade, investment, defence and people-to-people contacts will come into discussion during the visit.
The foreign minister said that he will apprise the German leadership of the regional situation, Afghan peace process and peace and security environment of South Asia, expressing confidence that the visit will be fruitful.
The German ambassador in Pakistan, in a tweet, also welcomed the visit of Foreign Minister Qureshi in these testing times.

Moreover, Qureshi will also discuss bilateral cooperation in diverse fields with the German leaders.
Pakistan and Germany are also celebrating 70 years of diplomatic relations.
Qureshi is visiting Germany on the invitation of his German counterpart Heiko Maas to hold delegation-level talks with the German leadership including the President of the German Parliament Wolfgang Schauble and other dignitaries.
