Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Tehmina Daultana has challenged a decision of the Election Tribunal, Multan in the Supreme Court of Pakistan.
Tehmina has requested the court to declare null and void the Election Tribunal’s decision relating to the election in the NA-164 constituency (Vehari) that was given on March 12, 2021. She has asked the court to cancel a notification issued by the Election Commission of Pakistan that declared Tahir Iqbal Chaudhry winner in the election.
It has been pleaded in the application that the Election Tribunal ignored the facts while hearing the case about vote rigging in the NA-164 constituency (Vehari). She said the presiding officer expelled the polling agents from the polling station and then cast bogus votes. She said that presiding officers had cast 15,000 bogus votes. She said that those bogus votes should have been verified by the Nadra.
She said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) candidate Tahir Iqbal Chaudhry was involved in vote rigging in the NA-164 constituency. She said the PTI candidate did vote rigging in the election in connivance with the election staff. She has made the Election Tribunal Multan, Election Commission and Tahir Iqbal Chaudhry party to the case.
