Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) has written a letter to all its members of the National Assembly (MNAs) in which they have been directed to ensure their presence in the assembly at the time of election for a new prime minister and also vote for the party candidate Shah Mehmood Qureshi, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday. 

The letter, issued by PTI Secretary General Asad Umar, warns the MNAs that in case they do not vote for Qureshi on Monday, they will not only be expelled from the party but will no more remain eligible for their seats. 

Moreover, the lawmakers have also been asked to attend the PTI’s parliamentary party meeting, which is scheduled to take place at 12: 00 PM today. “Those who will not follow the party lines will be proceeded against under Article 63-A of the constitution,” reads the letter.
