The Jafar Express had a narrow escape after an explosion on the railway track near Mushkaf Railway Station in Bolan Valley occurred, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Tuesday.
According to officials, an attempt was made by unknown saboteurs to target the Jafar Express bound for Peshawar after blowing up the railway line with explosives, which damaged the railway track. The sound of the bomb blast was heard far away.
Railway officials including police and Levies personnel reached the spot and cordoned off the area.

According to a railway official, technical staff has reached the spot and started repair work on the railway track for early restoration of railway traffic.
The track was slightly damaged and a deep pit was formed there.
The Police and law enforcement agencies started the investigation of the incident.
The security has been tightened and the train was dispatched after ascertaining the well-being of the passengers.
