Pakistan Railways has officially announced a revision in the schedule of some major passenger trains, including Shah Hussain Express, Bolan Mail, and Mehran Express aiming at enhancing operational efficiency and passenger convenience, reported News HD TV channel on Friday.
According to the Railway administration, the schedule of Shah Hussain Express, which operates between Karachi and Lahore, will undergo changes starting from April 15, 2025.
Under the new timetable, the Shah Hussain Express will depart from Karachi Cantonment Station at 9:00 pm and will reach Lahore Railway Station at 3:35 pm the following day.
Similarly, the return journey from Lahore to Karachi has also been adjusted. The Shah Hussain Express will depart from Lahore Railway Station at 9:00 pm each night.
In a separate move, Pakistan Railways has also announced changes in the schedules of Bolan Mail and Mehran Express, two other significant services in the southern and southwestern regions.
The revised timings for these two trains will take effect from April 27, 2025.
According to the new schedule, Bolan Mail would now depart and arrive at its designated stations between Karachi City and Quetta according to updated timings.
Mehran Express will also experience minor adjustments in arrival and departure times at select stations along its route.
Railway officials stated that these changes have been implemented with the dual goals of operational improvements and enhanced passenger comfort.
Passengers are advised to check the updated schedules in advance through official Pakistan Railways platforms to avoid any inconvenience.
