A tragic road accident in Rangpur near Kabirwala claimed the lives of four pilgrims and left more than 18 others injured when their bus overturned due to speeding on Thursday.

The incident occurred in the Jawana Bangla area, where the bus carrying pilgrims en route from Sakhi Sarwar to the shrine of Haq Bahu Sultan overturned. The high-speed vehicle lost control, leading to the fatal crash.

According to rescue officials, 15 of the injured were transferred to the Rural Health Centre in Rangpur, while three critically injured individuals were shifted to Nishtar Hospital in Multan for specialised treatment.

Among the deceased were 35-year-old Muhammad Afzal and 14-year-old Ahmed Ali, both residents of Burewala.
