PM invites Maldives president to tour of Pakistan

Prime Minister Imran Khan has invited Maldives President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih to a tour of Pakistan.

The premier gave the invitation to Ibrahim during a telephonic conversation, a statement said on Monday.

The two leaders exchanged views on Covid-19 combat, health projects and regional reforms to bring betterment to South Asian states.

He laid stress on tapping economic potential in South Asia for regional reforms and sustainable peace.

The prime minister reaffirmed Pakistan's desire to work with Maldives to strengthen beneficial cooperation.

He said the Pakistani government went for smart lockdown for balancing between life and livelihood during the ongoing war on the deadly virus. He praised Maldives measures to promote tourism.
