The Islamabad High Court (IHC) Justice Athar Minallah Tuesday ordered to stop the operation against Katchi Abadis (slums).

According to the 24News HD TV channel, the court issuing stay order in the favour of Katchi Abadis, asked the federal government why does not start a scheme for the Katchi Abadi residents.

The court also summoned the Capital Development Authority (CDA) chairman, Director General Housing Authority in the case on August 25, 2021.

Justice Athar asking the Secretary Housing Authority about the government’s policy regarding the residents of Katchi Abadis said plots were allotted for other people but why not for slum inhabitants.
