A lady constable was shot dead by her husband in Mingora, Swat late Tuesday night, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Bakht Izzat, who was posted at Mingora police station, had sought divorce from her husband which the latter denied.

The man fled from the spot after committing the crime.

Police registered the case and began a search for the suspect.
