Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf which was facing a tough time after its government, led by party chairman Imran Khan, was ousted in the Centre is bracing for more bad news – this time from South Punjab as many top leaders in the region are ready to quit the party.
Confirming the development in an interview with 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday, PPP MNA Nawabzada Iftikhar Ahmad Khan has said that many PTI top leaders from Dera Ghazi Khan are in contact with them and the PPP leadership will soon make decision in this regard.
Responding to a question, Nawabzada Iftikhar said “The PPP reorganization in South Punjab is in final stages and they are planning to introduce new faces.”
He further said “PPP has a huge votebank in the region and the party wanted such election candidates who can cash in that votebank for the party.”
