Claiming that former prime minister and Pakistan Thereek-i-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan hate ‘neutrals’, Sindh Information Minister and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Sharjeel Inam Memon on Thursday accused him of blackmailing the state institutions, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Addressing a press conference in Karachi, he said that all that Imran wanted was that the country’s military establishment and judiciary should be subservient to him. “He has not condemned his party leader Shahbaz Gill’s statement as yet,” he said.
Asking the PTI chairman to ask his children in the UK to troll that country’s prime minister, the minister said that while on one hand his own sons were living abroad, on the other hand he was busy leading the youth here in Pakistan astray.
“Look the way he is talking. Never ever in the country’s history has there been such a malicious campaign against the Pakistan Army like the one we are seeing today. We would have witnessed an altogether different treatment had there been somebody else in his place,” he said, adding, “Hell will not break loose if Imran is taken to the task.”
Referring to PTI chairman’s yesterday’s press conference in which he had said that the Taliban had been installed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) under a conspiracy, the PPP leader said that whom he was blaming.
Claiming that Imran was still a blue-eyed boy, Sharjeel demanded formation of a joint investigation team (JIT) to probe the transactions made through his party’s bank accounts.
He said he was at loss to understand that when corruption references could be filed against former president Asif Ali Zardari and other political leaders, why the authorities were not initiating any action against the PTI chairman in Tosha Khana and other corruption cases.
Sindh minister went on to claim that late Dr Israr Ahmed, a renowned religious scholar, and Hakim Saeed, a philanthropist, had said about Imran decades ago that he was the agent of Jews.
