After the dissolution of the National Assembly, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) Thursday banned the transfer of postings at the federal level.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, the ECP issued a letter to the Secretary of the Establishment Division to stop any transfer or posting on Thursday, August 10, 2023.
In the letter to the Secretary, the ECP disclosed a plot of large-scale transfers and postings from different ministries, divisions, departments and institutions.
The ECP said in the letter that the National Assembly and the Federal Cabinet have been dissolved, and all kinds of transfers and postings should be stopped until a caretaker setup is formed.
The ECP said it has been learned that large-scale transfers and postings are being planned by various Divisions, Ministries, Departments and Institutions.
The ECP said in the letter that the caretaker prime minister and cabinet will be formed soon so any such action of transfer and posting should be avoided until the caretaker government is installed.
The ECP further said that as soon as the Caretaker Government is installed, transfers and postings can be made in accordance with the law and policy.
