Surging remittances make PM Imran Khan happy

Prime Minister Imran Khan was over the moon on Friday after learning that expatriate Pakistanis had sent more dollars back to the country.

In a tweet, Prime Minister Imran said there was more good news for the national economy as the workers’ remittances continued to grow in November 2020.

Imran Khan said the remittances in November remained above $2 billion for a record sixth consecutive month.

According to the State Bank of Pakistan, the remittances rose to $2.34 billion, up 2.4 percent over the previous month and 28.4 percent over November 2019, said a jubilant Imran.
