At least 10 people have suffered burn injuries in an explosion resulting from the storage of gas in a shopper bag in Esaak Khumari, Banda Dawood Shah tehsil of Kirk district, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Sunday.
The victims of the explosion were promptly transported to various hospitals for immediate medical attention.
Among the injured, the condition of two children is critical and they have been shifted to Kohat hospital.
The local police emergency services are collaborating to determine the root cause of the incident.
The plastic bags, with nozzles and valves fixed tightly, are filled up with natural gas at shops that are connected to the country's gas pipeline network.
