Lahore is witnessing a surge in cyber fraud cases, with incidents of fraud and deception on the rise through the use of the internet and digital technology.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, authorities from the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) said a total of 6,089 cases of electronic fraud were reported in the past eleven months.
The reported cases include 2,498 incidents of tracking and harassment of urban residents using digital technology. Additionally, there have been 1,774 complaints related to unauthorized access to information and data.
Social media websites have also become a target, with 1,596 complaints of causing harm on these platforms.
