A close associate of the late Benazir Bhutto, Shabbir Ahmad Abro had been undergoing treatment in Karachi before his passing.

Shabbir Abro held a significant position within the PPP and played a crucial role in the national struggle, acknowledged by former MNA Rafiq Ahmad Jamali.
