The Alfred Dunhill Championship, a European Tour event, was extended to a fifth day in South Africa after the final round on Sunday had to be suspended due to the threat of lightning.

Co-leaders and former Major winners Louis Oosthuizen and Charl Schwartzel of South Africa played only seven holes at Leopard Creek Country Club and were both 16-under when play was called off.

Another South African, Christiaan Bezuidenhout, was third at 13-under having also completed seven holes of his final round.

The leading foreign contenders were Andy Sullivan of England and Matthias Schmid of Germany, who trailed the leaders by five shots having completed eight holes.
