Jinnah House case: JIT acquits eight accused including Hassan Niazi’s sister

Joint Investigation Team (JIT) has acquitted eight accused including a sister of Hassan Niazi in Jinnah House attack case, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Anti-Terrorism Court Administrator Judge Manzar Ali Gul conducted the hearing. Sarwar Road Police has registered a case against the accused in May 9 Jinnah House case.
Those who were declared innocent by JI include Hajira Niazi, Taseef Khanum, Sadia Ayub, Sarwat Shahid, Nadira Umar, Waheedur Rehman, Sajid Prince and Farhana. JIT further said that Syed Fatima Haider, Bina Zeeshan and Rukhsana Naveed were found guilty in the investigation.
After being declared innocent, the lawyers of the accused requested the court for the withdrawal of interim bail appeal and the court dismissed the bail pleas on the grounds of withdrawal.
Earlier, the Court sought arguments on interim bail of Hajira Niaz. Hafeez Ullah Niaz, father of Hajira Niazi was present on the occasion. Later, ATC extended the interim bail of Hajara Niazi and other accused till January 15. On May 9, 2023, Jinnah House’s was set on fire and historical artefacts were looted by PTI protestors.
