Asking the government not to force the PTI workers to come out on roads again, party Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan asked the parliament to play its role in the provision of justice to the families of the party workers, who were killed allegedly due to firing by the law-enforcement agencies (LEAs) at D-Chowk in Islamabad on the night between November 26 and November 27, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.

Talking to newsmen at the Parliament House, he said registering protest was a fundamental right of each and every citizen. “But great injustice was done to our workers who were fired at. Nowhere in the world, do law-enforcement agencies open fire at protestors.”

Barrister Gohar said it was unfortunate that investigation commissions had been formed in the past, but nothing came out of them.

He made it clear that although the PTI had formed a committee for parleys with the government. “But this should not be misconstrued as our weakness.”

“None of our protestors was carrying a weapon on that ominous day,” the PTI chairman said, adding that those who had opened fire at them must be taken to the task.

“There has to be an end to the reign of terror,” he said.

He rejected reports that the party’s talks with the government would begin today.

“All we want is to reach a settlement with the government through negotiations. The solution to political issues must be political,” he emphasized.
