Punjab CM Maryam meets Shanghai Committee deputy secretary

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has reached Shanghai and met with Deputy Secretary of the Shanghai Committee of the Communist Party of China Mr Zhao Zhongming, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.
On her arrival, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif was warmly welcomed by Deputy Secretary of the Shanghai Committee of the Communist Party of China Mr. Zhao Zhongming.
Deputy Secretary Mr Zhao Zhongming expressed his determination to further enhance economic relations between Punjab and Shanghai.
Meeting emphasized the need to further promote cooperation in trade, investment, science, technology and industry.
Increasing cooperation in economic and technological sectors was also discussed in the meeting.
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif thanked for providing training and education opportunities to Pakistani students and experts.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif invited Shanghai-based companies to invest in Punjab’s special economic zones.
Maryam Nawaz said Shanghai's emergence as a global financial and trade hub is commendable.
Maryam Nawaz Sharif said we want to collaborate with Shanghai companies in sectors including automobile, IT, semiconductor and robotics.
With the support of China, the IT industry in Pakistan is growing rapidly due to capacity building of experts, Maryam Nawaz said.
Punjab Chief Minister said Pakistan's IT sector is rich in the potential to develop according to the vision of the great President Xi Jinping.
The Punjab government is fully prepared to promote the IT sector with the Shanghai authorities, Maryam Nawaz said.
Maryam Nawaz said that Pakistan and China came closer during the governments of Nawaz Sharif and Shehbaz Sharif.
I have a close relationship with the Chinese people, Maryam Nawaz said.
Maryam Nawaz said game-changing projects like the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor were launched only during the governments of Nawaz Sharif and Shehbaz Sharif.
After many years of political and economic instability, Pakistan's economy and economic indicators are moving towards growth, Maryam Nawaz said.
She said Chinese companies will be given preferential facilities for investment in Punjab.
Deputy Secretary Mr. Zhou Zhongming said that trade, investment, infrastructure and people-to-people contacts will further benefit mutual relations.
